London Facts and Figures...well, just a few!
When you visit England and the great city of London populated with over 13 million people (inside the M25), can be an overwhelming and confusing experience for any traveller. Most of you will arrive via Heathrow, Gatwick, Stanstead or Luton Airports.
All airports are fully equipped with information counters that can provide you with reliable and cheap places to stay usually in the form of Hostels or Backpacker residences.
On our informative website page you will find a comprehensive list of sites with available accommodation in and around the area that most appeals to you. Currently, areas such as Acton Town, Shepherds Bush, Willesden Green, Tooting, Wimbledon, Putney, Fulham and Clapham comprise the largest groups of Antipodean travellers. It is in these areas that you are most likely to find a flat/house to share with people who are living in London as travellers on Working Holiday Visa’s. Normally a house share will cost you around £300 to £400 per month, less if you are prepared to share a room with a friend or a stranger looking for a roomy.
If you are a couple then a bed-sit could be your better option. They can cost between £80 and £200 per week.
Alternatively, you could become a “dosser” sleeping on a couch or floor for considerably less, but this is definitely not recommended since your sleep is usually dependant on those around you.
